What your challenges will be
Anima is looking for a dynamic Head of Sales to lead the growth of our sales efforts from the ground up. If you’re excited about working with cutting-edge developer tools and bridging the gap between technical innovation and business growth, this role is for you.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic and hands-on capacities—someone who can build a sales function from scratch, inspire and develop a high-performing team, and drive revenue growth at scale.
Hands-On Selling: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close, ensuring that you’re always in the trenches driving outcomes. Initially, start as an individual contributor.
Establish the Foundation: Lay the groundwork for a scalable sales process, including CRM management, pipeline tracking, and performance metrics.
Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Build and implement a sales strategy tailored to Anima's goals, including market analysis, target customer segmentation, and revenue targets..
Build Relationships: Engage directly with developers, engineering managers, and technical leaders to understand their needs and demonstrate how Anima solves real-world challenges.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align customer insights with product development and messaging.
Be a Trusted Advisor: Build credibility with highly technical buyers, ensuring they see you as a partner who understands their problems and speaks their language.
Inspire & Motivate: Lead by example with a focus on performance, professional growth, and a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Drive Operational Excellence: Implement sales enablement tools, processes, and reporting systems to maximize team efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership & Team Building: After setting up a process and showing sales traction, build a team. Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team as the organization grows. Set clear goals, provide coaching, and create an environment that fosters accountability and success.
What existing skills & experience you possess
Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in tech sales, ideally selling developer tools or other technical products, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build, lead, and scale a sales team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Technical Knowledge: Comfort in technical conversations and a strong understanding of software development workflows. Previous experience as a developer or a technical background is a plus.
Strategic and Hands-On: Ability to set vision and strategy while executing day-to-day initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate value, present complex technical ideas in a simple way, and build lasting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: Comfortable with ambiguity and excited about the opportunity to build a function from the ground up.
Results-Oriented: A track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets while building sustainable processes for growth.
Coaching Mindset: Skilled in mentoring and motivating individuals to reach their full potential and contribute to organizational success.
